so??? where are the yellow fellows? DJJAMIE said "Hundreds of Polls"? proof? 100s? WHERE? or is it another LIE ????????????????????????

I understand why you seem so upset. Imagine PM Prayut really works on his image and hires a team of PR experts. He might even become so acceptable as to eliminate the need for new elections rolleyes.gif

"become so acceptable as to eliminate the need for new elections"

North Korean style? or Myanmar? they claim the same

I'm claiming nothing. I'm just saying that the more people try to push the NCPO and so into a democratic framework the more acceptable the whole lot may become.

I'm all for strait talking, calling a spade a spade, and to hell with political correctness, but yeah I do not support threatening to throw lecterns at the press when asked difficult questions, A FREE AND OPEN PRESS is something that so many need to understand as one of the first things a country needs to have if it wants legitimacy to it's claim of democratic freedom, that might help with the PR, as well as a basic understanding which is missed by so many leaders and public officials of the world,

PR lesson number 2. YOU ARE NOT GODS, YOU ARE NOT ANY BETTER THAN ANYONE ELS, YOU WORK FOR US!!!!

sorry aussie - everything you say is correct, and would apply to anyone else, but it doesn't matter because 'this one' definitely does not 'work for us'. He is his own man with tanks, ships, planes (even a blimp). He's got the police, all the security operations and most importantly he has the right friends.

He doesn't need PR. He's the boss.

<EDIT> He did one thing that I have never seen another Thai politician or PM ever do though. He apologized for his inappropriate remarks in reference to the Koh Tao murders. That alone speaks volumes about the man that will bring reform to Thailand. Admittance when making a mistake is a trait that is admirable and is why he is so popular.

Well yes, he really had NO choice, after his spectacular gaffes basically stating the victims 'asked for it', what with being there and 'wearing bikinis' (which Hannah wasn't BTW), and which spread through international press like wildfire. Christ you're naive huh.png

Quote "basically stating they asked for it " You believe this ??? basically stated says your interpretation is biased.

he is a Military man and the cross-over will be unsuccessful, eventually, no matter how "pure" his intentions the roads to hell are paved with them

The fact that a person is a military man does not mean they can't cross over into politics successfully - although in this particular case it's bang on, he might have been a great soldier but his political skills are zero

Your interpretation only.

There is a no win either way with you anti PM posters.

Get Chalerm in charge if you want a role model.

so what the heck? You claim that people would accept ridiculous results from polls if the situation were reversed and when the theoretical reversed-scenario is laid out and shows that it too would be a joke and not accepted, you come back with "chalerm"?

BTW, it's not anti-PM, it is anti 'PM'

Just to put it simply---yes referring back to Yingluck polls--comparison. When they stated at one rare time she was more popular your brigade never questioned that---now the boots on the other foot remarks are Rigged---not enough areas asked-- you get my drift. I threw in Chalerm as an alternative as you people are forever blasting the PM, and Chalerm was a top man in the PTP government and NEVER spoke untrue or wrong. ????

Well I guess I would have to say that based on the "political skills" within the last administration , that is a blessing in and of itself.....

...and I am truly amazed , from reading your past posts, that you could be a big enough person to offer such a compliment to the new PM

He needs to engage his brain before speaking, the bikini comment and praise for the BIB on Koh Tao was insensitive and hurt full and making media statements and speaking on behalf of others who say no such thing also makes him and his government look like complete tools

He is clueless, but that doesn't mean he is alone. What about the tourism authority taking up.marketing before the poor victims were even buried.

It is the complete inability of a Thai pooyai to walk in the shoes of others that sets them apart.

They are coddled and their egos massaged to such a point that their reality is so far from reality they are living in some odd cartoon wonderland.

It is like having Paris Hilton for Pm and Kim Kardashian for tourism minister with Liberache for finance.

They talk in a land of milk and honey with a versace coffee cup. Ever ironed a shirt Mr PM?

YL had zero politicial skills either, what she had was a mentor pointing her (in his directions unfortunately) Her total political experience was the 6 weeks of campaigning up to the election! But she didn't roll around making the almighty social blunders that the General has laid himself open with. His ego is ruling him, not his head or heart which is a shame for the country and the citizens. The big issue is that no matter who is running the country be it democratic or otherwise they will be affiliated with a faction and because of this, corruption will never end. (in my opinion anyway)

If that's the case that jpeg's interpretation is biased then so are millions of social media people's and every press agency (that is allowed to print an opinion). Did you not read the General's comments about how girls who come to Thailand and wear bikinis are asking for trouble, unless they're ugly? You really do have selective memory don't you.

Headline should read "PM Needs to Improve." Period.

As an aside, I'm curious about the viewership of the "Returning Happiness to People in the Country" talk-show every Friday. Just wondering...

Was this a BING Thai-English interpretation---try finding out who interpreted it. before slagging off.
