In the past few years I have gone to Thailand on a 60 day visa and then been granted a 30 day extension at the Hua Hin Immigration office with no problem. Is it still as easy this year to get a 30 day extension as it has been in the past?

I've looked at getting a 90-day Non-Immigrant Visa but it seems a lot more additional forms are needed over a Tourist Visa.

Has anyone experienced any problems at the Hua Hin Immigration office this year getting a 30 day extension on a Tourist Visa? I'm a US citizen.

Thanks!

Yes, 30 day tourist visa extensions are still available, cost 1900 baht.

Thanks, do you know if the 30 day extensions are as easy to get as they were last year?

Ok, Jan 24, 2016.. I've been coming to Thailand for 9 years but always stayed in PHuket and got my 30 day extensions done there. I just read this post, but it is over a year old... I need to go tomorrow to extend in HH office. Still possible? I read this and it got me worried:

My visa expires tomorrow and dont want to go to BKK. I'll go to HH office at 9am

Thai Tourist Visa:

This is a 60 day visa and can be extend at Thai immigration in Bangkok or Thai Immigration in Pattaya or Phuket if you pay the 1,900 THB fee for an additional 30 days or another extension of another 7 days. This has been listed here.

You can do the extension at immigration in Hua Hin.

You can do it at any immigration office as long as you have a local address to put on the application form.
