1 year visa for oil worker

Featured Replies

Hi can anyone help? I currently work in Oman on 4 week on 4 week off rotation but was told yesterday upon arrival at phuket airport that this was the last time i coul enter the country on the 30 day visa and have to apply for a 1 year visa, is this possible to do as i called an agency this morning and was told that i need a sponsor but as i do not plan to work here in phuket that is not possible.

Perhaps you should start flying into Bangkok where you would not have a problem. There is no rule that says you cannot keep making you trips like you have been.

You don't have a lot of choices to get a visa unless you are 50 or over, married to a Thai or have a Thai child.

You could get a 2 entry tourist visa and get a re-entry permit for the 60 day entries to keep them valid.

If you want to pay 500,000 Baht, you can get a 5-year Privileged Entry visa.

if your doing a 28/28, and fancy a 5 year visa, with no hassles, TE 500k visa, not that expensive for a person in your position
