Since you are currently on a non-o visa entry you will have no problem leaving and returning to get a visa exempt entry.

I don't think you son will need to pay for the entry to Myanmar.

You are the foreign father of a Thai child? Will the child's Thai mother also be going with you on this trip? If not then you do know that you'll need to produce a legal document/letter from the mother giving her consent for you to take the child out of Thailand?

Until now never needed that.

Was more times with my Thai sons crossing borders alone, they have my family name, no, never questions asked at the borders.

There was a post recently on this forum from a BM who was asked for a letter/document proving mother's consent. He didn't have anything so immigration phoned the mother and were satisfied after talking with her. However, if the mother's phone was switched off or she was unobtainable someway then it's possible the BM and the child may not have been allowed to depart.

That report was for a grandfather of a child taking him out of the country. Parents should not have a problem.

Correct, sorry about that, I remember now it was the grandfather. My apologies to OP if I caused him any stress.
