Mansion on Chum Phae/Si Chompu road.

Does anyone here know who owns the huge white house on this road?

You can't miss the place, it's the biggest house I think I've ever seen.

Set back off the road a couple hundred metres with huge white columns and at least 3 stories high, surrounded by sugar cane plantation.

Not your average big house, it must be a couple thousand square metres, quite amazing.

Anyway just wondering if anyone knows the story behind it?

One of my Thai family said it belonged to the big pig farmer.

The pig farm is nearby on the opposite side of the road.

He said it cost 50 million Baht.

Not sure about the pig farm though.

I regularly catch the bus which stops just next to his house, but have never smelled a pig farm there.

Pig farm smells are unmistakable from a fair distance.

Anyway, seems Im not the only person who knows this house.

Yes it is a Thai mans house.

The pig farmer is well known in the area and a Thai wife or Thai gf will be able to tell you about him.

His pig farm is several kilometres back towards Chum Phae on the other side of the road. It is well set back like the house is.

Next time you see the house take a photo of it, send me the photo and I'll chat to my family about it.

They will give the guys name age and where he is going for the day. Plus a lot more.

It is too difficult with my limited Thai speaking to try and ask questions about the house without a photo to show them what I am on about.

Google Streetview covers that area now, you could post the coordinates of the house. If you post the entire URL when you are in Streetview looking at the house, we can see precisely what you are talking about.

I am puzzled as to why they need every little soi of every little village on Streetview, but Google is worth billions and I am not - they must know something I don't.

The street view does not give the full impression of this huge "mansion" (zoom out).

There is a "Mr. Big" on the opposite side and I am not so sure that he makes the real money with pigs.

A couple of years ago, he or one his sons (?) was shot at/arrested/imprisoned.

You can speculate about the reasons on your own.

I do not have further insight.

I live about 3 km from the place, not on street view

I must revoke.

Talking to wife/daughter and everything is just assumption/speculation.

The person shot at was probably an innocent victim of the infamous "drug on wars".

Why don't you just go round say you like his house and before long you will get the guided tour done the same while riding round chumphae

turns out makes his money getting girls for german whore houses so could afford a big house not a nice person at all his missus was nice thou
