I see the 87 form below on government website but not the 47 ?

http://donslifeinthailand.com/Immigration_Forms.html

They look similar but not sure if it's the same or where to download the correct TM 47 form that I read should be accompanied by

photocopy of the photo page of your passport.

– 1 photocopy of the page containing your most recent entry visa.

– The original of your most recent 90-day registration receipt.

– The original of your new 90-day; registration receipt. Don’t forget to sign it!

– A stamped, self-addressed envelope to receive your new receipt.

Mailed to

Room 311, Immigration Bureau

Soi Suan Pluu

South Sathorn Road

Bangkok 10210

I have 7 more days until check in and wanted to mail today so it gets there in time .

Did this before but never got anything back as I did not include the original of your most recent 90-day registration receipt instead sent copy ( this was a no no they said )

Now I am hoping I get it all right to save the trip . Thanks in advance

I sent in mine 3 weeks ago and still no letter has come back.

That is about normal.

If you have not gotten it within 30 days of your due date the website tells you to then contact them.

That information is totally incorrect (outdated).

The correct information can be found here: http://www.immigration.go.th/nov2004/en/base.php?page=90days

It also includes a link to the tm47 form.

Of course you only send to BKK if you live there. If you live elsewhere you send it to your local immirgation office.

Edit: for Bangkok it must be send 7 days before the due date!!.

That information is incorrect, you should send 15 days before due date, and keep the proof of posting by registered post:

Send the mail before the renewal date 15 days to

90 DAYS REGISTRATION,

IMMIGRATION DIVISION 1

Chalermprakiat Government Complex

120 MOO 3, CHAENGWATTANA ROAD,SOI 7,

LAKSI, BANGKOK. 10210

Notice :

- Your registered mail must be sent to the Immigration office at least 15 days before the due date of notification.

- Your new form will be stamped as of the expiration date of your old receipt.

- Please keep your receipt of your registered mail in case of lost mail.

I think their filing cabinets must be really full of those papers and the copies of the stuff they require.

I think also they are trying to put it all on the computer system but that too must be stuffed to overflowing point.

Also years ago us in the Khon Kaen area had to trip up to Nong Khai for these.

I asked Mr Grumpy up there would it be ok to mail it in?

He said well yes but if I don't feel like mailing out the receipt what are you going to do then?

Well I said I could phone you up and ask you why it has not been sent back.

He said you could do that but I don't take phone calls about missing 90 day report receipts.

Mr Grumpy was well known for messing one about especially after he missed the promotion to top dog and that was filled by ...wait for it ...a Woman.

Thanks Mario but that link takes one to sample 47 form filled out not blank that can be printed and filled out . Possibly best to just loose the day and go to the office far far from where I stay ?

You can do your 90 day report at 2 locations other than Chaeng Wattana.

You can do the them at Major Hollywood Suksawat or Imperial World Lad Phrao. There have been reports of people doing their report at these locations in just ta few minutes.

If I sent today on 21 will it be ok as the check in date in 90 day is 27 ? I am in Bangkok and don't think it should take more than a few days and one has a week window on both sides of due date that is the 27th . Just ask because I read stories how some peoples request go unchecked when sent in and remember never getting anything back last time I sent in but I did forget to include original 90 day slip and sent copy ? Actually the Major Hollywood Suksawat location looks close to Lumpini park where I am and may be better choice thanks Ubonjoe , I thought those alternative locations were just during protest but possibly for just doing 90 day they are ok ?Thanks again to all those who replied

I did at Imperial World, Lat Phao about 10 days ago and although about 5th in queue only took about 10 minutes. You get queue number at entry to air conditioned room now and wait for far right counter for non L-A visa 90 day report (one place). As they read the bar code into computer it is done very quickly as you wait at counter.

Send it today. Postal applications must be received before the date.

Reporting up to 7 days after only applies to those attending in person.

Documents by Post

1. Completed Form TM47

2. Photocopy of passport pages with following pages

- Homepage showing given names, Passport number, Hologram etc, plus

- Current visa or

- Last extension stamp or

- Last entry stamp

3. Photocopy of Departure card TM.6

4. Original Previous notifications of staying over 90 days. (Take a copy for your records)

Notes:

Remember to sign all photocopies. Send the above via registered mail to Immigration, enclosing a pre-paid registered return address envelope for the Immigration Officer to return the lower part of the form notifying your next date of reporting. This part must be kept for reference and for future notifications of staying over 90 days.

Personally I send mine by EMS with prepaid EMS return, to avoid less likelihood of anything going missing.

What's different other than the posting method I suggested.

Too many 90 day return report slips go missing in the post for my liking.

My suggestion for posting was an improvement to what Immigration recommend.

Hobson's choice, just letting the OP know there are alternative posting methods.

There is a big difference in the copies needed. Yours has 'or' for them. Immigration rules would be a 'and' meaning everything listed.

Frustrating, I proof read it twice, but your correct it should read;

I say 'or' after Visa because it would be one or the other. Visa or Extension. If you have an extension then you don't have a 'current' visa as it becomes expired when you get an extension.

Would you agree with that Joe.

I would have quoted the Immigration website, but unfortunately the crap Internet and bandwidth here quite often won't allow many sites to open.
