S Planner won't sync with Google Diary

Featured Replies

Anyone know how to get my SPlanner Android diary to sync with Google diary?

It works sometimes, but sometimes not. Sometimes updates are delayed, sometimes not at all.

Have set Sync in Android 4.3 settings - but can't see how to get this to work.

Thanks

I mean the Google Calendar

1. Ensure you have Sync Calendar set on in the android setting for the email account you are using.
Think you may already have done this one, has you mention it in the OP.

2. Each individual calendar in Google calendar has its own Visible and Sync setting.
In Google calendar, go into the Calendars option and ensure the appropriate calendar is set to Visible and Synced.

3. If all your settings are OK and you are still having problems it may be that the Calendar data is messed up
This unfortunately does happen in Google Calendar, see net for solutions, but the one that always works well for
me is this:
In Manage Application, Select the All Tab and find the 'Calendar Storage' entry. This is the app that
manages the Calendar data on your andoid device. Select it and choose "Clear Data". This may sound drastic, but if
are you confident that you have all your data safely on the Internet in your Gmail account, then this works well.
Check 1st that you have all the data by viewing your data on a PC in your Gmail account. This only clears the data on
your android device, then if you force a sync (turn sync on and off in the setting) you should get all your data back ,and
hopefully it will continue to sync smoothly until the data gets messed up again sometime in the future.

4. Finally in a "have you switched it on yet" type comment, the calendar will only sync when you have an internet connection.
So if your internet connection on your android device is sporadic so your syncing will be.

I would advice you check with Google first "Android Calendar not syncing" if concerned about zapping your local data, and please, please
first check all your data is uploaded to the net first, I would not want to be responsible for giving you advice which resulted in you losing data.

All the best
