Airship takes part in celebration of King’s birthday

PATTANI: -- Government officials and local people joined the nation to celebrate the 87th birthday of His Majesty the King Friday with several activities.

But what Pattani differentiated its celebration from the rest of the country was the launch of the surveillance airship back to the air, attracting impression and curiosity from the people.

Now the airship was painted on the side with the image of His Majesty the King along with the words “Long Lives the King” and the royal emblem on the head part of the ship.

The appearance in the sky of the surveillance airship caught the curious eyes of residents on the ground, and attracted impression as well.

The airship circled around the town at low altitude to allow local people to view the image, in addition to making surveillance to ensure security for the people celebrating the King’s birthday anniversary.

The airship was earlier on September 5 forced to make emergency landing in Yarang district of Pattani province after developing navigation problem.
