Tourist visa extension

My 60 days are up on Dec 14th.

To extend the visa for another 30 days to make it 90 days

Can I go early to do this at Jomtien?

It is 1,900 Baht?

What paperwork will I need.

Sorry for having to ask, but this is the 1st time I've had to extend a tourist visa.

You can go early.

1,900 Baht.

Passport, TM6 entry card, TM7 application form, passport size photo.

They are closed on 10th Dec.

How far in advance can you go for your extension - most things I've read say a week before or they might turn you away?

Two weeks is acceptable at most offices. Others may let you do it 30 day early.

I don't recall any report of somebody being turned away for doing it more than a week early.

That info was useful to me too. My 60 days is up Jan 7. If I go a week or two early do they still date it from Jan 7 to Feb 6-7? Also do you know when Jomtien is closed over New Year?

The extension starts from the date your 60 day entry ends. You loose nothing by going early.

Immigration will be closed from the 31st to the 4th and reopen on the 5th.
