webfact
Soldiers Confiscate 'Thaksin Strawberry Jam'By Khaosod EnglishMAE HONG SON — Soldiers have dismantled a food stall in northern Thailand for selling strawberry products with a logo resembling the face of former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra on their labels.Five soldiers took down the roadside stall near the popular tourist town Pai in Mae Hong Son province yesterday. The stall's owner, Pichit Tamool, said soldiers refused to identify their ranks, units, or the reasons behind their action. The soldiers confiscated all of the products with the Thaksin logo, which included twenty jars of strawberry jam, eight bottles of strawberry wine, and six bottles of orange juice."They didn't give me any documents. They didn't give any reason for dismantling my tents," said Pichit, who is also a local coordinator of the United Front of Democracy Against Dictatorship (UDD), the umbrella organisation of Thaksin's supporters.Pichit said he is outraged and confused by the soldiers’ operation because his stall and products are properly registered under the law, and the Thaksin logo is merely a cartoon that bears no political statement.Full story: http://www.khaosodenglish.com/detail.php?newsid=1418115076§ion=11&typecate=06 -- Khaosod English 2014-12-09
Popular Post halloween
I thought his defence would be that it was a portrayal of certain female anatomy that just happened to resemble Thaksin, or vice versa.

Popular Post seajae
well if people drank the wine and ate the jam it would end up where thaksin belongs, in the toilet. Shows how pathetic the udd are if this is how they are going to keep promoting the scum bag, desperate or what.
peptidebomber
'Thaksin logo is merely a cartoon that bears no political statement' Maybe he should be compensated, and should of been given a explanation but the above comment is a bit naive. Without his payments all these red/ptp supporters would disappear real quick, they know the shins are all corrupt but as long as they keep getting their dirty money they will keep doing as they are told.
Popular Post lildragon
The military government are so terrified of Thaksin. It shows how weak they are. Yeah really...Who's running the country, and who's living in the desert? Thaksin is where he deserves to be. But if this army government is so strong why are they banning even small things related to Thaksin, deleting him from the history books etc. He happened and his parties have won elections for the last 15 years. Sweeping him under the carpet won't work.

"Correction" for political prisoners usually meant either a bullet (for the lucky ones), or ending up in a concentration camp & then worked/starved to death.
