Need recommendations for family lawyer to represent while not in country

Hello to the Forum-

Seeking advice on hiring a family lawyer to represent me while I am not in country.

Please understand I am not here to put my personal life story on a public forum and I appreciate the respect of my request.

What has stimulated this request is I have children that are knowledgeable of Thai Visa Forum as they are not young and keep up with events and etc of Thailand via TV

My marriage was not done in the United States nor in Thailand but through a Thai Embassy in a Middle Eastern country.

American Lawyers don't know if I am actually married and have recommended I contact a lawyer in Thailand to assist.

This statement came as they feel that if I am actually married the Thai Embassy was an extension of Thai System just Overseas.

I currently reside in the U.S. and Thai soon to be ex- wife I believe is in Thailand??? I Have not had contact with her in many months.

Sincere advice not the typical TV heckle is much appreciated.
