Canary you mentioned you bummed around canary islands for 20 years and now many here in Los doing same (BTW go idea) ....however I don't know if your qualified to comment on the concept of work. This would be all too abstract.

I hate air con also. Have blues with gf if she ever wants it on

Yes you are absolutely right Mr Jacksam. it would be " most unfair " of me to comment on the subject of " work " ( just the thought of work makes me feel " a bit dizzy " ...)

But as for the air con and the Thai lady situation - I would recommend disconnecting the cables from the main Electric feed and then quite simply just " hide the remote control " ( problem solved Mr Jacksam ) .

  • At this time of year the only way I could get the temperature to 27 degrees C in my bedroom at night would be by using a heater.

  • sorry completely the opposite cant get enough air yin

  • I would have to agree with canarysun to a certain degree that aircon when set too low, can be uncomfortable to say the least. However, to not have the option of aircon? I suppose it is what you are

This time of the year it's not needed. In fact at one of my locals last night they bought out the claypots with charcoal in them to put under the tables when I went out for a few nightcaps which was nice as it was decidedly nippy. I even copped a right good gander down the cute Burmese lass' top and even right down the crack of her botty as she placed the claypot on the floor....

Air Con is nice and indeed a necessity for me (and many) from March to June/July or when the rains kick in, also can be a must in the workplace. I'm not a huge fan though, especially waking up feeling all dried out....

This past week though we've been under the quilt with only the screened windows open - even the fans hang forlornly limp unless Im being 'gaseous' - (as we're elevated we get a good breeze blowing through the house) and very comfortable to boot; even after/during what I understand the Tunisians refer to as 'Jiggy Jiggy" in reference to an earlier post....

Air con is one reason why I don't travel first class on Thai trains. Having made that decision I think 'to hell with it' and take peasant class with fans.

Last time I did that I was infected with TB. Yes really.
