TripAdvisor award boosts tourist bookings in Ao Nang
The Nation

KRABI: -- The Krabi tourism and hotel association was overjoyed that Ao Nang, one of the most popular tourist attractions in this southern province, was named among the top 10 "Destinations on the Rise in the World" by TripAdvisor's Travellers' Choice Awards, released this month.

Association board member Ekkawit Pinyothamnothai yesterday said |Krabi province's New Year holidays had already seen 60-70 per cent of accommodations booked, thanks partly to the TripAdvisor's Travellers' Choice awards.

Of the 52 sites listed, Ao Nang - about 20 kilometres from Krabi town and listed as offering 87 hotels, 157 restaurants and 78 attractions - was ranked in fourth place, behind Da Nang (Vietnam), Sihanoukville (Cambodia) and Limassol (Cyprus). In fifth to 10th places are Bodrum (Turkey), Naha (Japan), Hurghada (Egypt), Kazan (Russia), Manaus (Brazil) and Eilat (Israel).

cheesy.gifcheesy.gifcheesy.gif its a complete s£iit hole , garbage everywhere, footpaths with huge holes in them (beach road footpaths are dug up and changed at the end of the LOW season, so its a building site in high season (just like now)...rip off ignorant muslims running the taxi and tour business's, over priced bars, restaurants etc, roads never cleaned so sand from buildings sites make the roads lethal for all the donkeys that rent scooters here on holiday, no police as they are too busy taking care of THEIR bars etc................yeah iu can see why Ao Nang would be in the top 10 cheesy.gifcheesy.gifcheesy.gif
