Confusion at the shop might be related to the fact that they are called poppadoms ....not pompadoms

an Indian shop off 2nd Road near temple, soi 16 or 17 I recall. Or where I always get mine from Fon's Foods in the small soi 5/1 off Theppasit nearly opposite to soi 12 (i.e. about 1/3rd way down going west [towards beach] on the left). While you are in Fon's get some meat pies, wonderful curries and sausages all home made and all excellent (as many TV members will know I have said many times before !) You will not be disappointed.

A while ago Makro had loads of these in their discount section for 8B per packet (regular price 40B). I still have several of the discounted packets left. Lightly oiled, they cook up very nicely in the microwave in about 30 seconds.

Unfortunately they now seem to have been replaced on the main shelf there by papads, which are similar but are made from different flour that I dont like so much.
