    Border opening hours extended

    Shoppers to Mae Sot and Myawaddy border towns will enjoy longer shopping hours as border committees of Thailand and Myanmar have agreed to extend opening hours of the two border checkpoints by three hours.

    The extension will begin from 5.30 am to 8.30 pm from current 6.00 am to 6.00 pm, starting January 1 next year,

    Just remember that the Kingdom of Thailand is 30 minutes ahead of the Union of the Republic of Myanmar. So, check your wristwatch occasionally when crossing into Myawaddy. thumbsup.gif
