I used to buy my poppy seeds in Villa Market but they are not selling anymore since some 4 months ago. I have seen a few post about the seeds on the forum but not concrete places where to buy them. I would rather buy them in bulk by the kg but retail packages should be fine as well. Can anyone share the location of places where to find them?

How about buying abroad? Most of the poppy seeds are imported and I could get them way cheaper by ordering abroad, do you think there would be any problem with customs?

Last month bought a couple of bags of them (poppy seeds) in the central market in Mae Hong Son. It's a bit out of the way so unless you were planning to go there I'd keep searching for a place in Bangkok. You might try Makro.

Mae Hong Son is certainly out of my way :-P Yesterday I went to Makro branch at Lad Phrao and they didn't have them. Not in the bakery section, dried seeds nor in the spices area :-( I guess I will try in the Indian area in Yaowarat...
