Ranong Immigration/Visa Run

Featured Replies

Hello

I want to know if I have a Two month visa can I extend for 30 days in or near Ranong

Also if I have a double entry visa can I cross over (like at Mai Sai) and get the 2nd two month visa activated?

Many Thanks Andrew

You can apply for a 30 day extension at the Ranong immigration office.

If you have a 2 entry tourist visa you can do a border crossing to use the 2nd entry but you need to be sure you do it before the enter before date on your visa.

Just did my extension in Ranong, on my double entry tourist visa. No problem.

I also have a question about double entry visa's . where and when do i apply for it? I live in USA , can I get it before I leave

or do I have to get a 30 day here and then apply for the double entry when get to Thailand.

Get it in the US, shortly before you leave.

You can apply for a 2 or 3 entry tourist visa at the embassy or any of the 3 official consulates by mail or in person in the US. Or at any of the honorary consulates in person.

Link to honorary consulates contact info on embassy website is here (look on left side of page for others). http://www.thaiembdc.org/dcdp/?q=consulate_honorary
