Triple entry tourist visa from Bali...

Featured Replies

Hi, I'm in Bali and heard I can get a triple entry tourist visa for Thailand here. What I'm confused about is the flights, the webs say they need proof of travel. Does this mean I need to book a flight out of Thailand for every entry, so 3 flights...? If so, how much time do I need to leave in between each flight? Is 90 days right?

I find it a bit confusing as I don't yet know where I'll be going on each exit and if I'll be going by bus or plane, it would be great if anyone has any advice for me.

Thanks

You will need a ticket out of the country for each entry 90 days apart.

You could purchase a one way ticket to a nearby country on a low cost airline for each entry.

Ok I'll do that then. Thanks for your help

Hi ubonjoe,

I bought my 3 flights out of Thailand and have just found a twitter account for the consulate that say they're closed until 5th January. It's impossible for me to stay that long.

I'm going back to Sydney, am I right in thinking I can't get a triple, only a double entry visa from Sydney?

On the website for the Thai consulate in Sydney they say for a double entry, I need to show a copy of an airline ticket booked in to thailand for my 2nd entry.

So i now have 3 flights booked out of Thailand which are invalid, and need to buy a whole new ticket in...

Can you see a way round this?

Thanks so much for your help.

Natalie

I suggest you contact one of the honorary consulates in Australia. Brisbane has been reported as being helpful and should do a 3 entry visa. You could do a mail in application to them.

I didn't think about the consulate being closed on the 29th and 30th.

I'm only in Australia for a week before leaving for Thailand so mail won't be quick enough. I'll need to do a double entry in Sydney. Thanks anyhow.

If you do have any tips on how to get round the flight problem - the fact that I now have 3 flights booked out of Thailand and none in which is what they require... Then I would appreciate it.

Thanks for the advice

Using overnight mail or courier service would only take about 3 or 4 days to get a visa form Brisbane. See: http://www.thaiconsulate.org/thai-visa-instructions/

I don't think Sydney is that strict on when the flights are for.

Just to update you, I called them yesterday morning and they agreed to do it for an extra charge. Today I got it back and it cost me the equivalent of $20 Australian dollars as a 'thank you'. It was quick and easy. I did have to show proof of airfares out the country for each exit.

If anyone else is in this situation I would say call them, don't email. I had also emailed them but the email reply was a no.

Triple entry visa is 1,680,000 rupiah paid in cash, one passport photo, one passport photocopy, airfares booked for every exit (1 for a single entry visa, 1 for a double, 3 for a triple)

This is in Bali, not Australia

Thailand can be exited in many ways including walking , why do they insist on air tickets ?

Ask them? If you search here, the Honorary Consul is a member of this forum.

I'm Irish in Ireland and getting a triple entry Tourist visa to Thailand, flying there on January 10th. I was there on a triple entry from April - December 2014 and I just had a one way ticket, wasn't asked for proof of exit flight to get that visa.. As regards the above topic will I need proof of flights out of Thailand for each entry this time??? Or at all??

This thread is about getting tourist visa in Bali.

Since you have got a visa already (elsewhere), nothing discussed here applies to you.

To answer your question in a polite manner, since you already have a visa, no proof of onward travel is required

Wayned, I really appreciate that thank you. I had to bite my tongue not to react to the other reply I got... But what I was saying was I'm 'getting' (applying) for a triple entry, don't have it yet... Thank you again for your politeness, it doesn't cost anything and it goes a long way.

Joseph, no need to hurt your tongue you can answer me as you desire - but I know for a fact i replied simple facts without rudeness,

I suggest that you contact the embassy/consulate direct to find out their current requirements. Here's the link: http://www.thaiconsulateireland.com/#contacts.

Happy new year to you wayned and Paz ? and thank you.
