Taking a flight to renew Visa

Featured Replies

Hey guys. In the past I've always used the minibus taxi's to do my visa runs, but now I'd like to try something different. Ive got a triple entry visa valid for 6 months and want to fly to KL and come back for my visa run. This is my first time doing a visa run through flying and I'm not sure exactly how it works. Do I need to stay there for 1 day or can I come back the same day. Also when using the minibus taxi's they sort out all your forms etc. for immigration. Do I need to sort it out then myself when coming back to thailand or can I just leave and come back. Not sure if airports are different. Any information would greatly be appreciated. Thanks.

You can fly out and come back the same day legally.

I have not checked flight schedules but I guess it is also doable technically.

Only form that I am aware of for returning to Thailand is the "Departure Card", easy to fill out.

Don't forget to put the number of your visa in that form and point to the visa page in your passport at Thai immigration.

Always check the stamp immediately after passing immigration booth in Thailand!

Its really named "Departure Card" even though you fill it out before arrival tongue.png

You can come right back the same day.

You will only need to fill in a simple arrival card, which will be given to you on the plane.

Check the round trip prices, Singapore Airport might be nicer than KUL, even for just a turn-around trip.
