CCTV footage of two suspects robbing a 7-11 store in Nonthaburi province, 29 Dec 2014.

NONTHABURI - Two self-described technical students have robbed two convenience stores in Nonthaburi province in the period of 15 minutes early this morning.

The suspects arrived in front of a 7-11 store in Soi Samakkhi 30 on motorcycle at around 5 am today. The two men then entered the store, grabbed cosmetics, CDs, and condoms, and tried to exit the store without paying for their item, one of the cashier clerks told police.

When the clerk tried to intervene, the suspects reportedly identified themselves as students at a technical college in the province, drew their knives, and threatened to attack the clerk if she attempted to stop them. The two men then left the store on their motorcycle. The goods they have stolen are worth more than 2,000 baht, the clerk said.

Around fifteen minutes later, the two suspects showed up at another 7-11 store in Soi Nichadathani 2, which locates approximately 500 metres away.

Nothing funny about two psycho thugs threatening staff with lethal knives.

These scum have the potential to murder, the sooner they are off the streets, the better.

After reading the full story and their behavior in the second store, I agree with you 100%:

Before they left they shouted that they were going to fetch a knife and a gun," Thanida said, "So I locked the door. When they came back, they couldn't enter the store, so one of them threw a beer bottle at the door."

Two absolute psychos, luckily no one got hurt!!

The morals, ethics, and values they teach these kids are amazing.

To think these are school kids. The same that they say they will instill the codes prayuth is pushing. Yet their learning doesn't come from the Gov. Is it taught everyday by role models (teachers) and by people they respect (parents) and their peers (so called friends and classmates.

So who is supposed to teach them to do good? Because apparently the ones who were supposed to are not doing to well and nobody but these people CAN do it.

The combo of what they stole and how they stole it is totally predictable. 2 counts of armed robbery, weapons charges, crimes from a motorbike (or whatever that crazy charge is) will equal a call from one of their parents, a suspended jail sentence and a 500 baht fine.

The police have not yet caught them (Armed robbery in two cases).
Maybe they are too busy with tourists - piss - tests.
Why not piss test them?

You forgot to mention the ultimate roll models the politicians.

Like several of those from the previous administration who have been convicted and sentenced to suspended sentences and, or, are on bail for things like terrorism, then there are the ones who have been charged with corruption and money laundering and of course those who have already absconded overseas to avoid either jail or prosecution.

When someone who has charges pending against them regarding exporting endangered wildlife can be made a deputy prime minister and a finance minister can lie and openly admit lying about the economy then just possibly learning bad habits could come from observing Govt.

Sooooo many Thais with mental ill. What's going wrong with this country. blink.png

Nothing. It's just being reported more because of CCTV and media.

It could just as easy be the Sukhothai era or Ayutthaya ear, as much as modern day Ratanakosin era...... little difference in mentality, if any at all.

"grabbed cosmetics, CDs, and condoms... worth more than 2,000 baht"

These guys had to be high on something. We should ask ourselves why Thai kids end up like this and also why the police:

1. Are never on the streets after hours; and

2. Don't seem to care about petty crimes like this (not enough tea money in it?)

Everyone has the 'potential' to murder, should you and I and everyone be off the streets ?

Rather strange response. Everybody has the potential to murder under duress or in forced situations, yes. Most people are not in such a situation.

These guys chose to commit robbery/rubbery at their own choice.......... rather a different circumstance, don't you think?

Hmmmm. Students you say? I think not. Surely you don't learn to be stupid in school, now do you? Or, is it actually a subject

taught in school? I can slightly understand one person being this stupid, but two? It really would be nice if the media would

follow up on these stories and divulge what sentences were meted out. Or is it just a bit of tea money from Mom and Pop that

always seems to put them back in the streets? These guys should now go for long term schooling called 'the school of hard knocks'

cleaning sewers and the likes, for say minimum of 5 years. Afterward they need to be required to wear visible notation of what

crime they committed so the public can be warned of what scum they are dealing with. I can't imagine they've purchased a music

playing device, nor do they wear cologne, (well perhaps lipstick )nor do they have use for the rubber things, so what use did

they have for these items? To sell? Please, any sensible answers would be appreciated cause I'm totally perplexed as to what this

is all about.
