If the container is not open and he vest inflated it will sink. Could not make out what theses items are. I am very familiar with aircraft and their components, it has been my life for over 60 years, military and commercial.

Something, took this aircraft out of its normal envelope pretty quickly... Under normal circumstances, you do not climb 4000ft and lose 100kts of groundspeed, and do so in less than a minute. The information I got is that from 32000 to 36300 and down again to 24000ft or so took just over a minute."That's an incredible flux of altitudes. Even just dropping 14,000 feet in a minute is a LOT.

Popular Post indothai Posted December 30, 2014 Popular Post Posted December 30, 2014 I was hoping the plane made an emergency landing on some remote and forgotten airfield with the everyone just waiting to be rescued. Until further undeniable evidence.... I think I will cling on to that hope. 3

ardsong Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 for the discovery of the pinging of the black boxes , you will need some equipment that can pickup the signals. don't know whether that is possible from a searching airplane or it need to be ship
maidee Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 CNN did not want to show a picture of the floating dead body guess some thai news agency will be less reluctant and as we know, will soon come to a TV post near you, as that is the way it goes
Seastallion Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 If there are life vests and a life raft, it indicates a landing soft enough at least for somebody to have released them. 1

Strangebrew Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 The sad part is while watching ANC they showed a body possibly a flight attendant, anyway sure it was female with only bra and panties on guess clothes torn off after impact. That should have not been shown as it will impact family members.
Tywais Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 Debris is from missing AirAsia flight QZ8501, Indonesia confirms Three bodies had already been evacuated from the aircraft, the Indonesian National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas) said, shortly after the plane's wreckage was found. The operation will now concentrate on recovering the passengers, locating the black box and lifting the plane from the sea floor, after which the National Transportation Safety Committee would commence its investigation of the cause of the crash. The head of search and rescue, Sulistiyo, grimly announced at about 2.45pm local time (6.45pm AEDT) that evidence had been mounting for almost four hours of the location of the downed jet. SMH 1

Even just dropping 14,000 feet in a minute is a LOT. Engines failed? autopilot relies completely on what it receives from sensors, the sensors have a double redundancy or triple but at the end of the day if the AP is left to its own devices while receiving input from sensors that are not working correctly then at some point the aircraft is going to get into serious trouble with the AP disengaging requiring immediate intervention by the pilot Like I said in an earlier post, pilots use the AP to make course/altitude adjustments by simply dialing in new numbers or adjusting existing numbers, waypoints for the route are already dialled in before the aircraft leaves the ground, the effectiveness and reliability of AP control under software developed by programmers may need to be revisited and procedures revised when in heavy weather conditions. I believe that pilots have become too reliant on automatic flight control systems which they assume will fly the plane under all conditions and eventualities requiring little intervention, I would question that I remember the crash at an airshow with one of the very first flights of an airbus, the planes software got confused as to what was going on when the plane did a low altitude flyby over the ground, if memory serves me correctly the software flying the plane got confused and didn't know whether the plane was landing or what resulting in a crash into trees beyond the runway, the pilot was unable to intervene in time to avoid the crash or didn't know what to do Software has it's limitations and once a plane gets into extreme difficulty even a skilled pilot may not be able to correct the problem in time to avoid structural damage and a crash JMO 3
JetsetBkk Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 Reported now that 6 bodies have been found. Very sad. RIP all passengers and crew.
webfact Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 Indonesia: Bodies found near site where plane disappearedJAKARTA, Indonesia (AP) — Indonesian officials on Tuesday spotted six bodies from the AirAsia flight that disappeared two days earlier, and recovered three of them, in a painful end to the aviation mystery off the coast of Borneo island. The bodies were found in Java Sea waters about 10 kilometers (6 miles) from Flight 8501's last communications with air-traffic control. The plane with 162 people on board disappeared Sunday on its way from Surabaya, Indonesia to Singapore after encountering storm clouds. The three recovered bodies, swollen but intact, were brought to an Indonesian navy ship, National Search and Rescue Director SB Supriyadi told reporters in the nearest town, Pangkalan Bun. The corpses did not have life jackets on.Images on Indonesian television showed a half-naked bloated body bobbing in the sea. Search and rescue teams were lowered on ropes from a hovering helicopter to retrieve corpses. As family members of the plane's passengers sat together in a waiting room at the Surabaya airport, they watched the graphic details on television. Many screamed and wailed uncontrollably, breaking down into tears while they squeezed each other. One middle-aged man collapsed and was rushed from the room on a stretcher. The discovery came after several pieces of red, white and black debris were spotted in the Java Sea near Borneo island.-- (c) Associated Press 2014-12-30
Lupatria Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 Six bodies were discovered and three have been recovered, says the Indonesian station TVOne, about one hour ago. RIP. 2
smedly Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 looks like this plane may have made a soft landing in the sea as opposed to a crash as the body shown in the news feed is intact, it might transpire that a lot of these passengers drowned - just thinking out loud and very very sad indeed 1
Bocking Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 It's difficult to call this discovery anything but 'Bad News', but given the unresolved mystery of MH370, well, I can't find the words but I think you know what I mean. RIP
