Sign language to be promoted nationwide

The Ministry of Education will discuss the plan to promote sign language with the Thai Health Promotion Foundation. The plan will focus on drawing families to take part in this project so disabled children will be developed in all areas.

Mr. Udom Kraiwattanusorn (อุดม ไกรวัตนุสสรณ์), the Education Minister’s Secretary, has admitted that the teaching of sign language in Thailand is still insufficient. Teachers and tools on this particular field are inadequate, especially in various provinces of the country. Thus, Talk by Sign project has been initiated in Trat Province, so knowledge on sign language can be promoted further. Parents and guardians will be urged to join this program, to enhance their children’s emotional, mental and psychological developments.

The project will spread to other province even though the Education Ministry may have to work out the budget for this project.

The ministry thus will have to cooperate with other relevant units, to carry out this project in a continuous manner.

What a relief - at last my middle finger signal to Thai drivers will be understood nationwide.

oh dear! another person who confuses signing with gestures....

but does making gestures at other drivers make you feel better?

and do you think it will make the recipient a better driver...........?

but that is another thread.....sorry!
