Backwoods Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 We were sold 2 puppies, supposedly yorkies, with papers from KCoT,, they looked a little pointed in the face, but I have seen this before, They were at 7 weeks. We now have, I'm sure a cross looks like palmerainion and yorkie. Is there a recourse for getting a refund for high fee paid for a registered puppy. When we got puppies, pen next to it had adult yorkies, so we lowered our guard. What to do??

Keesters Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Sell them onto some other unsuspecting soul, preferably a Thai as it was a Thai you bought them from right.
Popular Post lust Posted January 2, 2015 Popular Post Posted January 2, 2015 What to do? Love the dogs and spoil them. 18
Patsycat Posted January 3, 2015 Posted January 3, 2015 Wait until they weigh 40 kilos and then ask the question again. 2
bina Posted January 7, 2015 Posted January 7, 2015 a pom yorki mix is actually one of the new 'tailor made' types that everyone here at least is dying to get ahold of... you have them. keep them. im sure they're cute and fluffy... if u arent showing them, then it most likely doesnt really matter as if they look mostly yorki'ish noone in the real world will most likekly notice. only show or dog knowlegable people might. when buying dogs, caveat emptor. if u dont see teh mother with the litter and a pic of the mother being bred with the male, then you will never know. as it is, many time someone breeds and a strange male gets in and has his way and one or two pups are from a separate father. u can also order dna testing for yorkies... i recently came across some site that does that for breeders, if its super important. as far as money... goner. especially if its a back street or puppy mill breeder 1
Daffy D Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 "with papers from KCoT" I don't know what KCot is but assume it's something similar to Kennel Club registration If this is the case surely the OP has some kind of claim against them for supplying false pedigree certificate. Another case of corruption 2
USNret Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 Expression "to be sold a pup", ie, swindled. No kidding. Strange title: "Sold pup not purebred". In fact, the topic is "Purchased pup not purebred". Taking the passive form is an attempt to sidestep responsibility. Caveat emptor still applies. 2
Popular Post dutchisaan Posted January 8, 2015 Popular Post Posted January 8, 2015 OP, you can only love a dog when he, or she is pure? Grow up and love the new family! Sent from my iPad using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app 3
mike324 Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 why not just contact KCOT so seller will face consequences? 1
uptheos Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 You'l grow to love them, never did understand this obsession with papers.
Popular Post csabo Posted January 8, 2015 Popular Post Posted January 8, 2015 As soon as I saw "yorkie" I figured it was a scam. It is possibly the most bait and switch dog there is. In the states it is sold as a Yorkie but is almost always a Silky which looks the same but is larger. And what's a "palmeranian"? Is that half dog, half coconut tree?? 3
csabo Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 You'l grow to love them, never did understand this obsession with papers. The "obsession" comes from a desire to avoid inbred animals that have a higher likelihood of hereditary illness or disorder. Another way to avoid these problems is the fashion breeds i.e.; Cockapoo, Labradoodle etc or a mut of random mixed breeds.
Popular Post Daffy D Posted January 8, 2015 Popular Post Posted January 8, 2015 I don't understand the attitude of some of the posters here. The OP paid premium price for a couple of pedigree pups and is now concerned that they are not what he paid for. I'm sure he will love the pups whatever their parentage but that is not the point. The point is he may not have got what he paid for. It's not just a matter of loving the pups. He may want to breed them in which case if the parentage is not pedigree the money he spent is totally wasted. If you go to a car dealer and order a top of the range Lexus, pay the money and get documents for a Lexus but when you get outside find that you have a basic Toyota pickup would you just shrug and say "well it's nice and shiny and new, it has 4 wheels and I'm sure the pick up section will come in useful" Or if you go to buy a case of big Chang and instead you get a case of small Singha will you just take it because it's still beer and you'll will drink it anyway. I'm no legal expert but I would suggest the OP contacts the organization that issued the certificate to check it is genuine. If it is a forgery then he may get their help in getting it sorted as they would not want their name on forged documents. If they say the document was issued by them it may still be a forgery but difficult to prove without testing of the pups parentage. Anyway good luck to the OP, hope you get it sorted. 8
mickba Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 How does the KCoT ID puppies. I doubt that a vet visits the litter on the dam and inserts a microchip or tattoos their ears somehow? It's difficult enough in UK to be sure, but here?
asdecas Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 I went to Pantip last weekend and bought a copy of Windows 8.1. When I got home I was shocked - shocked! - to discover it was a pirated copy. Who can I sue?
HooHaa Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 you could put them down, not what id do, but if it really bothers you ...
WitawatWatawit Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 Is Daffy D the only one with a functioning brain on this thread? The OP is not complaining about not getting the perfect dog, just getting what he paid for. Perhaps he can approach the Consumer Affairs Department - altho I suspect it's also known as the Inactive Post Department 1
Si Thea01 Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 Please help me. Was told my new owner was a pure bred but later found out he is a mongrel. How can I get recourse for being bought by a dog.
Shadychris Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 What to do? Love the dogs and spoil them. Best answer here! And to be fair on the plus side they will probably live longer and healthier lives than any 'purebred' - or more appropriately 'inbred' creature!!

sunshine51 Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 What should you do? Keep em & Love em for all YOUR worth and get on with life. Next time be more careful....and more wise. 1
ggt Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 Take your lose...love your dogs as they already love you...and think about it could have been a fake Rolex or expensive handbag...neither of which would give you unconditional love...
gandalf12 Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 "with papers from KCoT" I don't know what KCot is but assume it's something similar to Kennel Club registration If this is the case surely the OP has some kind of claim against them for supplying false pedigree certificate. Another case of corruption You dont know if the KCoT did supply the paper. It could have been made up on someones computer. Shouldnt be so quick to judge without all the facts
Bakeman Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 On a serious note: Balance the price of a lawyer with the price of the pups. Balance your heart with the refund and the pups returned to the seller. If you are okay with both then do it. Otherwise just complain to the seller and tell them you will tell all of your friends not to shop there.
TechnikaIII Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 With so many dogs being rescued from the illegal dog meat trade, your money would be better spent helping one or two of them. Soi Dog would love it if you walked in and offered to give a home to them. Many are domesticated dogs, ripped out of their neighborhood. It's a tragic situation. I am not advertising for Soi Dog, but advising that they need help with helping thousands of homeless dogs. 2
