PROOF OF MONTHLY 65,000 B INCOME (PROCEDURE)

Featured Replies

Hi all and a happy New Year

what are the procedures and what kind of paperwork do I need when I apply for a retirement visa to proof my 65,000 income, rather than showing 800,000 in the bank?

I am receiving 2 monthly payments(social security from my home country and a pension from the UK) which makes up just about 58,000 baht. I assume the balance would come from a bank account in Thailand.

what exactly are the documents that I need to present?

thanks in advance for your help

You need a letter from your Embassy verifying your income.

Different Embassies require different documents as proof.

You will need to get a letter for proof of income from your embassy.

You will need at least 104k baht in a Thai bank to make up the difference between your annual income of 696k baht to reach a total of 800k baht.

When you apply for the extension you will need a letter from the bank confirming your bank balance and the income letter.

one more question: can my Swiss embassy give me a letter for proof of income for both, my Swiss pension and my UK pension or do I have to visit both embassies?

I am not sure what the Swiss embassies policy is now but at one time they would not do a income letter. You should contact them about it.

If you have UK nationality as well as Swiss it would be best to get the letter from them the UK embassy.

Ask the UK-embassy to also confirm the Swiss income. Normally embassies confirm income that is derived from another country, if the required proof is shown (in a language they can understand).

Wouldn't the embassy that someone uses for the verification of income have to be the embassy that corresponds to the passport the person presents to immigrations when applying for an extension of stay?

If the O/P is using a Swiss passport, would an income letter from the UK embassy be acceptable?

There is no rule that says it has to be from the same country that the passport being used for the extension application is from.
