January 4, 201511 yr Sorry new here hope im not in wrong section but just after some advice, im coming to thailand on 22 january and will get a 30 day visa on arrival, i am thinking i might want to stay a little longer. i heard somewhere that new rules introduced , i may be able to get a 30 day extension while there at the imigration office. is this correct and what are the reqirements i have to meet.
January 4, 201511 yr You will get a visa exempt entry, not visa on arrival. You can then extend for 30 days, fee is Bt 1,900, no requirements. Check below about boarding with no visa and no return ticket within 30 days. http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/754481-boarding-to-thailand-without-return-ticket/ Edited January 4, 201511 yr by paz
January 4, 201511 yr You were in the wrong section, but not now. You will not get a Visa in arrival. You will get a 30 day Visa Exempt Entry. You can apply for a 30 day extension at immigration. Passport size photo and 1,900 Baht needed. You might also have a problem boarding the flight without a Visa or a flight leaving Thailand within 30 days.
January 4, 201511 yr Author just one other point i have a return flight within the 30 days so my entry will be ok, if i get an extension of stay i will change my flight to match , again thanks
