How to get visitor visa longer than 30 days

Featured Replies

I travel to Thailand often but always on 30 day visitor visa. I want to come in February for 2 months. What visa do I need for this and do I have to apply before I come.

Thanks

Best to apply for a tourist visa at a Thai consulate, this gives you 60 days and can be extended by 30 days.

You can get a tourist visa at a Thai embassy or consulate before traveling. The visa allows a 60 day entry that can be extended for 30 days at an immigration office.

The 30 day entry is not a visitor visa it is a visa exempt entry.

A Tourist Visa will give 60 days and can be extended for a further 30 days at Immigration.

Apply at a Thai Consulate.

Thanks guys. I'm going to get my 30 day visa at the birder then extend it for 30 days once there. Another post I started in this I've been told can do this for 1900baht.

At the border you get permission to stay 30 days visa exempt. It is not a visa.

You will only get 15 days at a border crossing unless you are from a G7 country.

Just to clarify that all international airports are a "special border" at which most nationalities eligible for visa exempt entry receive 30 days permitted stay.
