I bet if you did the same thing for any country you'd get the same result. Actually, the BBC news website often has links to news from the past ten years and many people believe those events took place recently... Don't get caught in the trap of thinking that Thailand is any different from the rest of the world!!

Yeah, accidents have always happened since the beginning of our existence.

Conmen have been roaming the streets since ages ago.

Corruption has always existed all over the world.

Software piracy has been going on since the advent of the internet.

How would these thing change in 9 years???

Thailand is different. just ask any thai and they tell you

And you obviously assume that your country is superior too!

In the early '90s I could get a khao pat for 9 Baht and they never kept the change either.

When I was a lad I remember buying a bowl of noodles for 50 Satang. I'd head out and have an absolute ball with 100 baht......them were the days.

:D

Once you could get a plate of chinese noodles and pork for 4.5 baht or 5 baht for a farang.

Mate it's only 10 years ago these papers.

Nothing much changes anywhere in 10 years except the trees are a bit bigger.

You printed out and kept copies of ThaiVisa threads?

When I was a lad we use to chisel stuff into rocks, go away and return the next day to see what the next guy had to say.

Them were the days where a guy was judge by how hard he drove his chisel.

Once it was 2 baht I suppose as well right?

Read post 12. And the 50 satang bowel was a 'special' too. There was even a 10 satang coin.

Did I mention I use to have a big day out on 100 baht ?

100 baht was not a big day out, it was an all night in.

Yeah early 90s no doubt it was cheaper then.

Even today in the village a bowl of noodle soup only costs 10baht. Tasty if you don't mind Issan village soup kitchens.

Tastes good, but no pig blood in mine thanks.

As for Bangkok, it's not far off Australian prices across the board.
