Thai govt wants to raise fares of 'low-cost' airlines

Air Asia not only pioneered cheaper flights for locals and "farangs" for domestic flights in Thailand, it has created many jobs and has helped tourism. It is the government owned public bus transportation that needs to be "adjusted" (fixed) not the airline. This shows you how free competition between businesses can work as long as the government keeps their nose out of it.

Clang, Clang. I think it is time for the Good General to buy some muzzles for his "Heads of Department" & only take off

after a cold shower along with putting the brain in gear.

In this instance wud also keep an eye on the bus owners transactions to them.

If an airline can pay 10 million dollars (guess) for a plane and charge 1,000 baht for a ticket and make a profit and a bus costs a fraction of the price of the plane and charges 500 baht for the same distance of travel and can not make a profit where is the problem here? Yes you guessed it ..... what is the problem .... Greed !!! Only greed !!!

That's what you could say about the taxis from the bus station in Phuket. B500 to Rawai, a journey of 17Km at the most. Don't forget to add up to a B1000 to Air Asias price for getting to the airport. Phuket to BKK prices seem good in comparison to Phuket's taxis
