noitom Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 This Thai was "transferred" but not charged with any crimes or loss of benefits, salary, pension until found innocent. What is the actual job definition of this ECD role? Does anyone actually know?

What is the actual job definition of this ECD role? Does anyone actually know? Actual job is to catch and extort from people who commit economic crimes AND are out of favour with whoever is currently in power at that time. 16

But also the most secretive, since it is never mentioned on any CV nor do we ever hear anything more about those peoples jobs in this place 1

Pib Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 Inactive post: a position which gives you full, dedicated time to cover your tracks made while in an active post. Repeated studies have shown covering your tracks while also working in the job detracts from your job performance. Request for an extension of time in an inactive post for 90 days will be automatically approved but is usually not required once governments change. There is no limit on the number of extensions allowed. Application fee: free. 1
Popular Post jvs Posted January 10, 2015 Popular Post Posted January 10, 2015 I am sure there will be a follow up .There must be going shockwaves all over Thailand and (former) untouchables are getting worried. Like Bob Dylan said,Times the are a changing. 3
JOC Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 Maybe the transferred cop had the nerve to look into his boss's unusual wealth?? 1
DKUNPUTAF713 Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 Just wait until Pol Gen Somyos Phumpanmuang gets his turn in having an inactive post. Then maybe we all will see a serious attempt at eliminating corruption as a start in the RTP organization. Again, TVF members should do some internet research regarding backgrounds related to RTP and the Thai military. It is an eye-opener!
Bakseeda Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 This Thai was "transferred" but not charged with any crimes or loss of benefits, salary, pension until found innocent. What is the actual job definition of this ECD role? Does anyone actually know? The EDC have their offices in Sathorn Road, they are charged to stop the sales of counterfeit clothes, handbags etc etc, you will spot them often in Pantip chasing the DVD sellers for some tea moneys. In the last few years they have joined forces with the "Internet" Police who now also come under the auspice of the EDC. They collect huge sums of tea moneys. Good luck to him in his new position. 1

iReason Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 New gang in town taking (more) old turf. "No reason was given for the abrupt transfer." Incredible these "Public Servants" don't have to account for their actions. Particularly, to the public who pay them.
IMA_FARANG Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 This Thai was "transferred" but not charged with any crimes or loss of benefits, salary, pension until found innocent. What is the actual job definition of this ECD role? Does anyone actually know? ------------------------ The term they do not want to use is "under investigation. That's what an "inactive post" really means.
SamMunich Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 ... Again, TVF members should do some internet research regarding backgrounds related to RTP and the Thai military. It is an eye-opener! Any specific URLs to visit? C'mon give us some leads...!
KhnomKhnom Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 Do Inactive Posts come with a desk? I hope it is a chain between the Post and the Person.

Ozziepat Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 If maybe 20% of income is from public salary and 80% from tax-free cash "subsidies," where will loyalties lie? Sorry, no prizes today for the correct answer.
