Proof of return ticket at dongmeung Airport

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I want to visit Bangkok for several days and will arrive at Don Muang airport

do I have to have proof of return ticket at Don Muang Airport ?

Thanks

Where are you flying from?

Do you hold a Thai Visa?

Are you just visiting Thailand?

You might need a return ticket or a flight out of the country even to board a flight, you need to give us the full picture.

no Airline in the world will let you board a flight to Thailand without an onward ticket, unless you have a pre-aranged VISA in your passport.

at Don Mueang itself, usually nobody will ask for it. But maybe they wanna see the 20.000 THB cash that are required by immigration to cover the cost of your stay.

that's bunk. You should've said "may not let you board". I myself - is the proof and I'm positive - not only me.

I agree it's bunk. I've flown one way to Thailand from Australia (the return ticket of a return flight to Australia) too many times to count and have never been asked for a return ticket or if I have a visa. I also never get asked for a visa or return ticket when I fly back to Thailand from the Philippines.... or Malaysia, or Singapore, or NZ, or Hong Kong.

It is understandable that a person may be flying to Thailand with onward connection by sea or overland...

You must declare on your "TM" Landing/Departure card, (the card you fill and hand to immigration), the date and flight/sailing you intend to leave by.

If you fail to fill it in, I assume you will be asked about your intended itinerary for your stay in Thailand, you may also be asked to prove you have funds for your stay and if no return ticket you have enough to purchase one too.
