Rimmer
Water Supply Issues continue at East Pattaya Village 250 houses at an East Pattaya Village have reportedly been without a government water supply for more than 10 years and residents there have had enough. On Wednesday, villagers contacted the local media to highlight the ongoing problem which began more than 10 years ago at the Pattaya Land & House Estate which was constructed 20 years ago. When the village was constructed, an external water supply was available until it became non-functional. At this point, water trucks were used by villagers who would pay as much as 2,000 Baht per month each,4 months ago the Nongprue Municipal Authorities are reported to have approved a 4 Million Baht Budget to fix the water supply problems, but, as yet, no action has been taken to begin the work necessary to restore water to the village. - See more at: http://www.pattayaone.net/pattaya-news/165163/water-supply-issues-continue-at-east-pattaya-village/#sthash.UniBodqU.dpuf -- Pattaya One 2015-01-
joepattaya1961
Amazing.......I was planning to rent a home in that village some years ago. The village was 'proud' to be self-supporting with regard to the water-supply. They had their own well and watertower..... downside: 1 m3 of water was charged at THB 30. Guess who turned off the city-water-supply some 10 years ago!!??
