We got one of those new digital boxes with the Govt. coupon, set it up with

working good. after a couple of weeks cannot get Channel 3.the wifes

favorite,so to get a bit peace and quiet, need to know if anyone else has

this problem, when i scan the channels,it comes up no picture and with

a $ sign .

Wasn't this the whole issue a few months back that Ch3 refused to move to digital and the regulator threatening to take them off all platforms? I seem to recall that the outcome was that after weeks of wrangling they agreed to simulcast 3 on their 3HD channel

I know on satellite after that you now have the luxury of watching 3 on two separate channels. Try to see if you have a digital channel 33 labeled as 3 HD

It might be that your aerial is not big enough or properly aligned. My brother in law has exactly the same problem as you but he has the smallest aerial. At my mother in laws house I installed the largest aerial i could find and that sorted the problem out.

On DVD T2 box

'Channel 3' SD is on ch 28, HD is on ch 33, different programming for each channel.

For info, approx 20 Km from transmitter, using small 'active' aerial (powered from STB)

All channels 100% signal level, Quality ranges from 50-100%.
