For that money, you can probably get a -5* place near the water. Basic, no aircon, transparent huts on stilts.

Theye were 400B per day when I last inquired. Long term - 200B. Right on the beach.

You might get a club sandwich but I doubt it will be big enough to sleep under :o

I have just come back from a 4 day holiday on Koh Chang and I have found several places to stay for around 500 baht. I would like to post some photos of these places, I made a point of going around and looking for this price range. You do not need to spend a lot of money, be wise, enjoy your holiday and stay longer, have a great time.

Palm Garden Hotel, at White Sands Beach. I stayed here for 600 Baht a night. Had air con, hot water, bar fridge and cable TV.

Paddys Palms Irish Pub, 500 Baht. Just slightly out of White Sands Beach area on the left, a new Place.

I might add that there were several cheaper bamboo style bungalows, however you will get mosquitoes with them and they are very basic. Here is a Map Of Koh Chang, White Sands Beach is the main area where the beach is great and where most of the action is. If that is what you want then that might be where you should stay. If you take a car or motorcycle you can stay anywhere and drive/ride to White Sands Beach, happy holidays.

Sorry Jing they are not on the net. If you are coming from the ferry pier you head towards White Sands Beach. As you are heading down the hill before White Sands Beach you will see a small Police box on the left and a 7/11 on the right. Just go 20 metres on from there and it is on the left. You must go to the 15 Palms bar across the road to check in and get the key. The restaurant and bar at 15 Palms is great, have a great time. :o
