Army chief cautions Panthongtae

26-1-2558-12-09-30-wpcf_728x411.jpg

BANGKOK: -- Army commander-in-chief Gen Udomdej Seetabutr cautioned former premier Thaksin Shinawatra's son to write comments appropriately on his Facebook if he wished to see peace and order in the country.

The army chief and deputy defence minister’s reaction came after Mr Panthongtae Shinawatra posted on his Facebook questioning the role and the behaviour of the National Legislative Assembly, the National Anti-Corruption Commission, and the Election Commission.

Panthingtae called the impeachment former Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra was a conspiracy to rid the political opponents, saying it was a double-standard practice.

While the military junta was determined to bring about reconciliation in this country, Panthongtae said the impeachment was seen as an abuse of the power given to them by the people to harm their political foes, but benefit their allies.

He said the democracy loving people were forced to give democracy to this government under the barrel of the gun, did not come out to protest just because they wanted to give a chance to this neutral group of people to resolve the political conflicts in this country with no prejudices.

The wish to see this country in peace will never achieved as he believed the affected side will never sit idly to be hit one side with their hands tied to the back, he wrote.

Gen Udomdej said if he wanted peace and order to go forward under the framework of the roadmap to democracy, any comment should be expressed with caution, and appropriateness.

He said so far there was no untoward incidents and he would like all sides to help….

He said he has no worry of the political situation after the impeachment of Ms Yingluck.

The situation remained peaceful as everybody understood that it was a justice system and wanted everything to go ahead within the framework of laws, he said.

Asked whether the impeachment was a plot to get rid of the Shinawatra family from politics, the army chief said he didn’t think so and the NLA has made such decision with reason and each NLA member has his or her own judgement.

Asked whether Ms Yingluck has sought permission to leave the country yet, Gen Udomdej said application to leave the country remained unchanged, he said.

FYI One of the charges waiting for his father involved almost a billion baht transferred on his instructions to a company that went tits up shortly after. Part of the money went via Oaks bank account. Naturally the Teflon kid has never been charged.

A big baby but not so poor.

edit to add: I imagine Oak's Facebook page is busy with congratulatory remarks from his fans

Having the Thai Army Commander in Chief telling you to zip it must be quite an honor. Waiting for a response from the lad.

This thread should cue the TVF Shin fan club to action

If the jail sentence is a given, what is the point in the prosecution? Bear in mind your man is all about rule of law these days, which means some may be found not guilty...

It been a while since I last heard Double standard and I heard it from his Dad,, so pityful this family whistling.gif

sounds like PTP thought - who needs courts? I would have thought that accessory to theft of a billion baht would warrant jail time, as would the perjury of his aunt, but the rules are different for the rich, more so when their family owns the government.

d

It is but they won't.

Yeah, that's why you stayed at home.

In all probability, whatever he says or does is dictated by the Dragon Head.

I honestly have no idea what you are talking about - are you saying those you don't like are not entitled to their day in court or what?

So you really think she did a good job with the rice scam

How many hundreds of billions in losses, theft and graft? yup great work

exactly as Prayuth and Suthep chatted about on 'LINE'

More likely the rear end of a well known camel herder.

I'm no expert on the rice scheme ,But wasn't one of its downfalls that they tried to stockpile rice to push the market price up and , I think , Vietnam had a record year for production and it all backfired

Is that the same principle as stockpiling hubs, when you're clearly not a hub?

Panthongtae will be the next PM... Once (if) there is an election, of course.

I love it when Thais talk about democracy and laws ! They do not understand either one ...

The pockets where some of these lost hundreds of billions ended up would say she did a terrific job. Perhaps this is why the Shins do not understand the events that occurred to YS

What the crux of the matter is, is not now but after the Junta has packed its bags and gone who tells who what they can say or write on social media or will that all be banned before they go, anyway the way to peace is a long way off in Thailand you don't get piece at the point of a gun, all you get is underground organizations starting up.coffee1.gif

Since when did Shin Scum love democracy?

Somebody better let the Junta know. Mr T will never go away, love or hate the guy, The political dynasty of the Shinawatras is here to stay. Sister, son, daughter even the family cat could stand and get more votes than Abhisit. For years Maggie Thatcher isolated the IRA and would not open channels for discussion, so they kept blowing people up on the mainland, the moment Blair comes along reconcilliation takes place and the killing virtually disappears. if you keep isolating Thaksin he will never go away. Contarary to the opinions of some elitists on here Thaksin backed political parties will win every election from here to eternity. Front up general and get Thaksin around the table if you are true about reconciliation.....He was, is and will be the force of Thai Politics and no shenanigans with stacking the NLA with generals or rigging the senate, changing the constitution, changinging the electoral system will reduce his popularity. Get used to the idea and work with him not against him

Wait a minute, he's right there. It's an attempt to stop political opponents.

I think he forgot to add 'corrupt' in his post.

The impeachment is exactly that . To stop corrupt political opponents.

Nuff said

he's not bright to come to any conclusion that requires intellect.

his academic record (such that it is..very poor ) is the result of his corrupt fathers money

City,

whatever your opinion about Thaksin one thing he doesn't do is negotiate, compromise or give concessions, however I wholeheartedly agree with and like your comparison of the IRA with Thaksin and the redshirts (spot on there mate)
