Thai Army chief cautions Panthongtae Shinawatra

I'm no expert on the rice scheme ,But wasn't one of its downfalls that they tried to stockpile rice to push the market price up and , I think , Vietnam had a record year for production and it all backfired

If the rice scam was a round brilliant diamond, you have managed to see one facet. The crown cut is that Thaksin tried it before and it was a dismal failure with only a tiny percentage going to the claimed intended recipients and massive corruption.

Panthongtae will be the next PM... Once (if) there is an election, of course.

You really have no idea....if you want to put money on that claim, ill take some of that action.

It's irrelevant whether you agree or disagree with his statement ... this issue is about freedom of speech and democracy and the General's reaction is typical of a Military regime that will quash a persons right to freely express themselves.

Poor lil Shin baby....cheesy.gif

A big baby but not so poor.

edit to add: I imagine Oak's Facebook page is busy with congratulatory remarks from his fans

Having the Thai Army Commander in Chief telling you to zip it must be quite an honor. Waiting for a response from the lad.

This thread should cue the TVF Shin fan club to action

Or rahter those of us who oppose military rule and the stifling of free speech may be gob smacked as to your behavior, sympathy for those who use force .

I can think of no better reason for never holding an election again. But of course you're full of it, so no need to worry!

He's absolutely right

These military morons have been doing the bidding of the powerful families since the1950's

They're back once again and the people will never be free until democracy is established and the soldiers are made to stay in their barracks

I don't see any hope for this country

Regardless if you like him or not...he is revealing what is actually going on.

That and he is pissed naturally because him and his family are being held responsible while they all thought they could continually do what ever they want and remain untouchable.

Thing is...who ever is in power in this country abuses their power to try and subdue the opposition to their power.

If he was in power he would be trying to do the same or similar.

The merry go round and see saw politics of Thailand.

Expect more of the same.

Cheers

Did his father send him this speech by email, and his son just cut and pasted it to his Facebook, is he the next puppet, or muppet

With all the money he got I would have had those ears done, and some Botox in those lips

You do realise that the pic in the OP is not that of Panthongtae S?

You know what they say about opening one's mouth and removing doubts?

Rat catcher, patriotism is the final refuge of the scoundrel

What a toadying suckhole to come out with that pathetic sentence

Ouch, you're making me sound like most members of the PTP.

Hard to be patriotic when living in a foreign land.

"He said the democracy loving people were forced to give democracy to this government under the barrel of the gun, did not come out to protest just because they wanted to give a chance to this neutral group of people to resolve the political conflicts in this country with no prejudices."

Yeah, that's why you stayed at home.

In all probability, whatever he says or does is dictated by the Dragon Head.

Not quite true, some years back he announced to all and sundry that his father would be the first president of Thailand.

He was silenced very very quickly by the paymasters lackies.

Somebody better let the Junta know. Mr T will never go away, love or hate the guy, The political dynasty of the Shinawatras is here to stay. Sister, son, daughter even the family cat could stand and get more votes than Abhisit. For years Maggie Thatcher isolated the IRA and would not open channels for discussion, so they kept blowing people up on the mainland, the moment Blair comes along reconcilliation takes place and the killing virtually disappears. if you keep isolating Thaksin he will never go away. Contarary to the opinions of some elitists on here Thaksin backed political parties will win every election from here to eternity. Front up general and get Thaksin around the table if you are true about reconciliation.....He was, is and will be the force of Thai Politics and no shenanigans with stacking the NLA with generals or rigging the senate, changing the constitution, changinging the electoral system will reduce his popularity. Get used to the idea and work with him not against him

Nice attempt at spin but your wrong on numerous points.

He's Correct! the impeachment of former Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra is a conspiracy to rid the political opponents of the junta.

The present Parliament has been authorised by his majesty the King

are you disputing his authority to do so

In my eyes your comments are making ridicule of his majesties authority

That may be seen a majestic

so was the elections but that did not stop Suteph now did it? why wasn't he charged with LM?

ain't that the truth but reconciliation is off the table... bullying, intimidation and vindictiveness are on the table

the good General actually had a chance to be 'great' if he had brought in reconciliation and played the 'middle road' but, alas, he has now played the right wing, conservative and divisive road. A shame really...

What else is he going to say? Yes, the impeachment is right because my family members are extremely corrupt politicians and stole billions in taxpayers money?

The only correct thing for him to say would be: Why does my family always get punished for their corrupt practices when others get away with it?

Someone ought to give this little devil a lesson in democracy. "The democracy loving people"...who all support a fascist dictator and his fascist family. Good stuff. Actually you couldn't invent a more preposterous story!

Work with Thaksin - you are joking? He won't work with anyone unless he gets all his own way and they do what they're told. The only similarity between him and the IRA is that he's also willing to see innocents killed if it furthers his cause. He's in it for himself and his family.

Sure they'll win if they put a cat up, just like if they put a telegraph pole up or a party list MP in a safe constituency seat.

More and more Thais have got used to what the Shins and their get quick very rich club mates really stand for - and it ain't democracy.
