Struggling with usual Agoda Booking.com etc....in Whitesands now, any beach bungalows in Bang Bao. Air, shower, pref Wifi but not essential...location important more than facilities?...ideas, contacts anyone?

If you are looking at Bang Bao, suggest Chaipura, which is on Kong Khoi Beach, just past the fishing village. Should be around 2k

what’s the story with that resort (if it is a resort) just to the left of the Chaipura resort on the map. You know the one with an enormously long jetty which goes out into the bay and you can see several huge buildings as part of this complex when you stand near the lighthouse at Bang Bao?

Is it open because you never see amny lights on or much activity going on there?

That is Tranquility Bay, which is an Condo complex.

A lot of what I would call second home owners. The jetty BTW is totally illegal.

Cheers MrT..ended up staying in Kai Bae...gotta say Koh Chang is a fantastic place.
