Villarreal sound keen to make sure a potential transfer of Mateo Musacchio to Tottenham Hotspur doesn't hit any problems. The rumour first started in the Catalan sport press and they've been saying all window that Premier League clubs are on the verge of signing several defenders, with none of the deals they marked out as 'imminent' actually going through yet.

However, there could be more to the Mateo Musacchio story. Super Deporte, a newspaper more local to Villarreal claim on Monday afternoon that the defender has been pulled out of training with his team mates. Musacchio has instead been sent to train in the gym to avoid any injury.

Logjam soon to break loose regarding transfers of DMs and CBs. Bayern's Boateng apparently off to Barca.

I'm pretty sure Chadli will be a lot better than he was last year after having a season to adjust which is exactly what Depay would have to do if we sign him ( plus I think Depay is all paper talk anyway ).

Yes I would say so....you need only 3 strikers......mind you it would be hard to define what is a striker at our club recently!

avb ' brought' the 3 striker thing ie 2 senior plus 1 development player, to us and tbh i was totally against it. on a week to week basis 4 me it dont work no competition limited cover however from that it could be argued we've now got imo , the making of a top c/f in kane. however 3 senior and one development striker would.be my choice.

So you rebuke my idea of having 6 attacking mids for 3 places, but you want 4 forwards for one place, hows 3 no competition and limited cover,plus it's not going to be easy keeping 3 happy let alone 4 !

Spurs might sign someone who can play on the left and up front but no way will they sign another out and out forward unless someones leaves so the new management and not just AVB must think 3 is the right amount !
