Yellow Book and National parks.

The OP and many other posters want to hear the National Parks ranger was wrong and was just being difficult on purpose. Well he or she wasn't.

Being charged the Thai price is a courtesy or favour extended to those who live here by soft-hearted NP rangers. It is not a case of, "This is my right," nor is it a case of, "I'm right, here's my Thai licence, work permit, etc."

If you want the Thai price for sure, you can show your Thai ID card which you gained after receiving Thai citizenship. You haven't got one? No, I didn't think so. Neither have I.

You need to decide what you are going to do if you are charged the 200 Baht or 400 Baht depending on the price for that particular NP. Ranting and fuming at the ranger who has no say in the policy is just silly and not very nice.
