Riva Surya

Featured Replies

Hi all

Has anybody stayed at the Riva Surya hotel? I just booked a night there for me and my family in feb, reviews on trip advisor etc look good but wonderd if anyone here has first hand experience of it.

Thanks

Stayed there last year. The experience will depend upon whether you are facing the river or the front road. If facing the river, (as we were) place was fine, although not as nice as it looked online. If facing the music bars on the main road, apparently its hell-hence the significant price differential.

Hmm damn I am booked in to the road facing ones, will see if I can charm myself an upgrade ;)

I stayed there about 6 months ago. Very good service, clean, good food. Would definitely stay again and not hesitate to recommend it. I also stayed in a river view room.

There are 3 hotels there next to one another, Navalai, Riva Surya and Siam Riverside. I stayed at the Siam Riverside with a lovely river view room and open terrace but had a good look around the other two. In my opinion there is no point in staying in any of them there unless you have a river view room with outdoor space, that's what sets them apart from other hotels. Without a river view room there are better value hotels in the area.
