Thai woman pretends to be American to get out of ticket

Crap article and video...

Haven't we all done things like this when we were young? I certainly have many times. I didn't get away with it in Thailand however. I was stopped by a traffic cop for not wearing a seatbelt. I pretended I could not speak any Thai which made the cop very angry. He pointed to my driving licence which was a permanent one issued more than 30 years ago. He said he didn't believe I couldn't speak Thai since I had been here 30 years. I felt a bit sheepish and paid up the fine

Silly really

Hmm, in several aspects that video doesn't really match the coconuts version of the story.

Almost as if they are creating a non story out of a non event.

And would that be all that unusual?

Sadly, no.
