Silicone spray or gel for treadmill.

Featured Replies

Where is the best place to buy silicone spray or gel for my treadmill?

Thanks folks.

The spray must not contain petrochemicals. I've seen a lot of siilcon spray around but it is not meant for treadmill use.

Nevertheless thanks for the reply and I'll go and check it out.

I went nuts trying to find pure silicone lubricants. Then I remembered my old SCUBA diving days. I found a great source for several pure silicone products at reasonable prices in Krabi. It is One Stop Dive. They have pure silicone grease, spray and liquid and will mail it to you. Simon Deane speaks English. I'd give you their email address, but some mod will snip it, so you can PM me WITH YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS if you want it. Here is their URL: http://www.onestopdive.com/?s=silicone+grease&post_type=product〈=en

You may have to call about the spray, I am sure I saw it.

Sports World has it for home gym cables, but not sure about additives.

Try Amorn- they have a large selection of that kinda stuff...

I have seen the manager at Harris gym using a silicon spray on their treadmills, if you can't find it elsewhere, stop at the Lotus hotel and ask them.

My LifeSpan treadmill owners manual specifically states "Use only 100% Silicone and avoid using aerosol silicone sprays which include additives and petroleum distillates."

The salesperson where I bought my treadmill sold me an expensive can of aerosol silicone spray, which I'm now reluctant to use. I am using it until I can get the proper lube, which I just ordered on ebay.

If it doesn't say 100% Silicone, it may not be the right thing.
