Car Hire For 7 Days For 6 People

Featured Replies

Hi,

I will be in the (un)enviable position of being the tour guide/chauffeur for 5 of my family members on their annual visit to LOS this October. :o

As such, I have been asked to hire a car for us (6 adults + luggage) in order to travel around the country and see some of the sights.

We shall be starting off and finishing in Bkk.

My request is two fold:

1) What car hire company can you recommend? I'd obviously like to use a recommended one as I would like to give repeat business to a firm that warrants it (we all appreciate good 'customer service' in the marketplace). :D

2) What hire vehicle would be suitable for 6 adults + baggage. Cost is not a motivating factor (but should be reasonable).

Many thanks for any help you can give,

:D

James

I would be looking for a van (much more comfortable with six) than any car. And for that you could either use a rental outfit or ask around. Van rental can include the driver and is not all that expensive.

I can't recommend a rental company as I have no experience in that realm, however for your second request, I would suggest the Toyota Alphard. It's a large van and rather comfortable. 6 people plus luggage pretty much limits your choices to that car or a government security Chevy Suburban/Tahoe.
