Car-hire

Featured Replies

My uncle and aunt are coming over in October and they were wondering if it's possible to hire a car from Udon airport with or without a driver for 3 days.

Does anyone know about this or any number to contact?

Thanking you in advance.

Budget and Avis both have cars a the Udon airport. If you have contact in Udon you can also hire from one of the local guys that rent out cars. With the exception of my first visit to Udon I always use Avis or Budget to get the insurance coverage. You can access either of them (Avis or Budget) via the main company's web page.

We live in BKK and travel to Udon 4 or 5 times a year. We always rent a car at the airport and have used Avis or Budget and have been very satisfied with the service. We always rented a small 4WD SUV and they always upgraded us to a larger SUV because, even though the official website stated that they had the small SUV, in fact, it was never there.. With the opening of the new airport bldg, Budget has now moved out of the airport and they have a location outside that airport and you have to call them and they come to the airport to get you...a bit of an inconvenience.

This last trip, we used a new local company with an office in the airport. Mali Car Rent...Really nice people..Rented a 4 dr pickup for 4 days for 3,000 baht...Rate is 1,000 baht/day but 4th day is free. One inconvenience...the only deal in cash...no credit cards and also have to leave a 3,000 baht deposit.
