German man dies apparently of heart failure

LAMPANG: -- A German man staying with his Thai wife at an apartment in this northern province died apparently of heart failure Wednesday morning, police said.

Police said Gert Langehenke, 67, died inside his room at the PS Apartment in Lampang's Muang district early morning.

His body was sent to the Lampang Provincial Hospital for an autopsy at 7 am.

His wife, Pranom, 60, told police that her husband convulsed and breathed fast before passing out.

Pranom said she called for an emergency help from a hospital but when an ambulance arrived, her husbanded had already died.

Wonder why this made headlines?

It is not uncommon from people dying from heart failure.

Because in addition to heart failure, he'd been handcuffed; dismembered; and stuffed up a drainage pipe? :o (j/k)

I must admit to convulsing and breathing heavily.............

but it is not a heart attack!! :o

May he rest in peace.

However, nothing unusaul about a 67 year old man dying of heart failure, happens quite often, especially in Thailand. Fortunately there have been no comments about the age of his wife. She was 60, bless her. And they were probably happily married for years.

Had she been 30, the thread would have been full of interesting comments. Just goes to show how age is so relevant over here. :o
