Multi-entry non-o visa (based on marriage) in Seoul - report

I went to the Royal Thai Embassy in Seoul (Itaewon) on 12 February, and submitted the following:

- (Canadian) Passport;

- One application form (downloaded from the embassy's website);

- One photo;

-Photocopy of my passport name's page;

- Photocopies of my wife's passport name page and her Thai national ID;

- Photocopy of my wife's "tabian baan";

- Photocopy of our wedding cerfiticate;

- One letter from my wife requesting the visa (she had written one in Thai and one in English, and they took the Thai one);

- 200,000 Korean won (5942 baht at today's rate) for the multiple-entry non-o visa (one year.)

I picked up the visa this morning (two working days later.) Both times I was out of the embassy within 10 minutes, and service was quick and courteous. Application & pick-up time: 9h-12h.

I submitted copies of my bank passbook, bank statement, and airline tickets but they handed them back to me.

As for previous visa history, I had 6 years of non-b (with work permit), and one double-entry tourist visa issued in Hong Kong last August.

The Seoul Royal Thai Embassy is easy to find (just print the map on their website), 5 minutes by taxi from Myeondong, and accessible by subway.

Congratulations and thanks for your report.

Always nice to get a report from locations that aren't visited that often and good to know they are another option of getting a multiple non-O visa.

And I assume that you are not Korean?

Stupid question from me, by reading it one more time i see that you have a Canadian passport. So sorry for it sad.png
