so, no inheritance tax after all

Featured Replies

According to the Newspaper-That-Must-Not-Be-Linked, there will not apparently be an inheritance tax after all. Just as I always thought. It's ludicrous to expect the dictatorship to act against the interests of their rich supporters. It was all just a fake show of even-handedness. Big surprise.

I see no mention of this in the newspaper you mentioned. Can you send me a PM link?

I have scoured the newspaper - there is nothing recent about this - so I have to conclude the OP was misinformed.

The link to the article entitled, "Inheritance Tax Bill Future Looks Murky" sent to your PM box.

I stand corrected - I still think the tax will pass - the army is hell bent on getting it through. Might be altered somewhat.

Thank you OP for the PM of the article. (from 14 Feb.)

Inheritance tax is stuid anyway.

They should make a wealth tax instead.

And now, no land tax either, according to that unlinkable newspaper. So, the ammart does not want to be taxed on their land or on their inheritances and, they won't be! If there is anyone in the room who still takes seriously the generals' talk of reform, it's time to take the blinders off.

Maybe they will do another tax increase on beer and smokes and they affect the poor.

I love it when white old blighters use the world "ammart" - lmao

Yes, The Bangkok Post reports the land tax bill has also been shelved, or delayed until perhaps 2017.
