Hello good people.

I have a non immigration multiple entry visa.(it's my 4th)

In end of march,i have to have a new 90 days permission.

My plan is:

Go south to Hat Yai and cross the Sadao-border.

I will not stay in Malaysia, just walk around the building and enter Thailand again.

Just like i've done 3-4 times in Nong Khai/Viantienne.

Is that possible??

I don't work in Thailand,so i don't have a wp.

I can see some threads about Sadao on TV,but they are 1 year old.Or more.

Anybody have some lately infos??

Thanks a lot in advance

They can try to get like 200 Bt from you. You can stand your ground, in that case have Bt 20,000 cash to show.

It is best to avoid the Sadao crossing. They tell people they have to stay overnight

It is best use the Padang Besar crossing.

Paz:

I'm the type of person, that would refuse to pay them 200thb biggrin.png

So i would show them 20.000 instead.

Ubonjoe:

Yes,i have read about staying overnight that, but i hoped, that things was back to "normal".

You always give people some very good answers,so Padang Besar,it will be.

I really don't want to stay overnight,if i can avoid that, coz gf have to go to work next day in BKK.

Paz&Ubonjoe:

Thank you very much for answers,i'm grateful.

I wish you both a very good day

This answers my question I think.

So you have to show the 20 000 in liquid, a bankcard from Belgium and a prove of income or not acceptet or ???

Thanks in before

Funds (if ever asked) are demonstrated with cash, not cards.

Found it at last... They are crossing by Sadao-border.

So I have look to go and come back from Penang via the more "friendly" border of Padang Besar (from Hatyai).

Do anyone know if at the Padang Besar busstation they accept Thai Bath (to buy my ticket to Penang, train takes to long). If not, where can I change (I remember 6 years ago the Maleisyan bank in Kangar did not change Thai Bath).

You can change at the border. Or use ATMs in Malaysia.

Due to the latest rules to transfering extentionstamps to the new pasport, I was oblige to go for a tourist visa.

Here a short report.

The nearest and cheapest to from Trang is to Penang.

Cross the border into Maleisia in Sadao... no problem.

Got my touristvisa without any problem.

The only little problem was to go back to LOS via Padang Besar

The bus to this border starts from Butterword only twice a day at 09am and 0230pm and the train goes at 0230pm. The pasports come back at + - 0200pm so you have no time to cach them and must stay one day longer.

Bus (minimum reserve your place the day before !!!!! ) to the border was ok and crossing whitout problems even friendly, 1 question " You go Trang"... "Yes"... " Ok, enjoi".

Walk to the otherside of the road 25 meter to the right there is a busstop and wait one hour for the bus to Hat Yai busstation (44THB)

Starting from Chuliastreet in Georgetown (Penang) at 0815am, I was home (Trang) 1730pm.

There have been no changes since August of 2013, I cannot see how those rules could cause you to have to go out for a tourist visa.

An explanation is needed.

My retirement visa and the extentions goes from 20 August to 20 August.

5 years ago (2010) I got to renew my pass in March and they give me the last months to august.

The rules from 2013 say that they give you the stamp in your new pass only to the date your old pass was expired and then you must apply for a new extention. So for me until the 24th of March. The problem is that my original dokuments (Kantang Immi request this even MUST be officiel translade in Thai) to prove my income of minimum 65000THB arrive some day in June, so I could not make my apply for a new extention. Need to make the bridge between march and june by a tourist visa + 1 extention.

Hope you understand this problem.

Of topic. In Georgetown (Penang) most of the guesthouse ownes are the servants (making the visa for You) are angry on the Thai Immi and dont understand at all why they are making us so difficult, one thing they are happy is they have more work and and the al rooms are taken every day.
