Pib
Requested info in on the Krungsri website for their various debit cards as they have a half dozen or so....just go to the website and open the Fees & Charges link for each card. But say you have a No Annual Fee Krungsri Debit card, the foreign transaction fee will not exceed 2% and you can withdraw from ATMs outside Thailand when showing the Visa Plus sign. I looked at Fees & Charges of a couple of their other debit cards and it has the same 2% foreign transaction fee. You get the Visa Exchange rate unless the foreign ATM offers a DCC exchange transaction which you accept (please don't) which will surely give you an exchange rate several percent lower than the Visa exchange rate and Krungsri will then apply their 2% foreign transaction fee (not because of the currency conversion but simply because it's a foreign transaction). Don't blame Krungsri for a DCC option as it's the local bank owning the ATM provides that controls that option and makes profit from it if the customer accepts a DCC transaction...just say no to DCC and continue on with a normal transaction which gives you the Visa exchange rate....then Krungsri will apply their 2% foreign transaction fee.
