Im married to a Thai but we have our money in shared accounts. Basically her account and I have access to it.

Can we simply transfer 400.000 THB to my account a few weeks before reporting to immigration?

So far I simply left the country every 90 days but we want to start with the reporting now.

Anything else we need to sort out?

Oh actually one more question. Do we need to show all of this every 90 days? So basically the 400.000 will be frozen on my account as long as we do this I guess.

You do the extension once per year.

You first get one month under consideration and then the remaining 11 months.

90 day reporting is a separate process, first extension counts as a 90 day report.

90 day reporting is just an address confirmation that you can send someone else to do or in some provinces by mail.

MFA is ministry of foreign affairs.

As you are married abroad you will need the Kor ror 22 instead.

This is the registration of your marriage in Thailand

You need to have it an account in your name for two months prior to applying for extension of stay.

Two months prior to applying at immigration or two months before extension expires?

My experience was at Samui immigration 2015, is your answer correct for every immigration office in Thailand today?

Really, any question like this must specify office because everyone makes their own rules, even officers within the same office have different rules.

Nowdays I have a BOI extension and WP, much better.
