Hi there,

i recently got a double entry visa from Vientiane for Thailand. I entered Chinag mai on the 7th Feb...( visa stated must enter before 3rd May 2015 ) My question is ... I may have to make a trip home to Mlebourne for family reasons and wondering if the second entry to Thailand has a life span? I f I went to Melbourne for one or two month swould the double entry be valid for a return to Chiang Mai? Sorry if this is a dum ass question but the visa doesn't state when it has to be used by.

You must use the 2nd entry before the enter before date on the visa. The enter before date is the date the visa expires.

You've already answered your question, you have to use all your entries prior to May 3rd.

As an aside, the Australian consulates are getting sucky on dates this year, the double I got last year gave my 6 months from application, this year I applied January 15 and I have to use both entries by April 15 (I only flew in February 1.)

Are they not doing triples anymore? This would give you 180 days to enter I would think.

As far as I'm aware none of the Australian consulates or the embassy issue triples, although I have read they have in the past (ie at least 3-4 yrs ago.)

It's not even an option on the form (I've applied through both Perth and Brisbane previously, and visited the various webpages of each states consulate etc for details...never boring, they all have slightly different requirements :) ) Read here that Bali might be doing triples, but I believe the only places you can get triples now is from the States and Europe.
